Day-Wise Schedule
Day 1
Introduction to SFX Makeup .
Overview of SFX makeup history and its applications in film, theater, and Halloween.
Safety and hygiene practices in makeup application.
Introduction to essential tools (brushes, sponges, spatulas).
Overview of SFX materials (latex, face paints, blood gels, wax and etc,prosthetics).
Basic Techniques .
Skin preparation and color theory basics.
Hands-on practice: Creating realistic bruises and cuts using makeup techniques (such as stippling and color layering).
Wound Creation .
Step-by-step demonstration of simple wound and scar applications.
Hands-on practice: Participants will create their own simple wounds using liquid latex and face paints.
Day 2
Creating a bald head.
Prosthetics: Application and Blending.
Introduction to using pre-made and custom prosthetics.
Techniques for blending and securing prosthetics to the skin.
Hands-on Practice: Participants will practice applying a simple prosthetic and creating realistic effects.
Character Makeup Exploration.
Discussing different character concepts (zombies, monsters, etc.) and their unique features.
Techniques for aging makeup, such as wrinkles and sagging skin.
Hands-on practice: Participants will choose a character look to create, using techniques learned in the morning.
Day 3
Final Character Creation.
Participants will finalize their chosen character looks, incorporating wounds,prosthetics, and other techniques covered in the course.
Guidance from the instructor on refining techniques and adding finishing touches.
Photography and Presentation .
Tips on how to photograph SFX makeup effectively for portfolios and social media.
Participants will have the opportunity to pose for professional photos with their completed looks.
Showcase and Feedback .
Participants will present their final looks to the group.
